As expected, Apple announced a new Apple TV at the Apple Media Event 2010 that comes in a body only 1/4th of the size of the previous generation but sadly no iOS support or iPhone-like Controller.
The great feature of the new Apple TV is its streaming capabilities. This device comes with no storage and allows you to stream HD content directly from your computer or the web. Other feature includes the ability to rent TV shows and movies direct from the device.
For the Apple TV, the TV shows now come on a $0.99 rental price from ABC and Fox and this includes full Netflix streaming support. First-run movies will be available in HD for $4.99.
The device is enclosed in a black, tiny box that fits in the palm of your hand and costs only $99.
