At the Apple Media Event 2010 today, Apple also announced the new iPod Nano with a small square-sized form factor, no buttons and a complete multitouch interface. This very much looks like the prototype leaked earlier which we labeled as the iPod Mini.
This small piece of technology marvel comes with the following features:
- The new iPod Nano is 46% smaller and 42% lighter than its predecessor
- A small square-sized form factor powered by Apple’s multitouch technology
- Built-in apps for Voiceover, FM radio, Nike+ and a Pedometer
- A battery time of up to and over 24 hours with music playback and videos
It’s unbelievable that all of this comes in such a small package. Though the new OS resembles the look and feel of iOS, it’s still not iOS. In fact this OS seems very much similar in functionality of the old iPod Nano.
This comes in many colors and the price starts at $149 for 8GB and $179 for the 16GB version. This will definitely outsell the old iPod Nano in no-time. The new iPod Nano with multitouch is now available at the Apple Store.
