Verizon to unleash Samsung Galaxy Tab in the coming weeks

In the beginning of September, when Samsung Galaxy Tab was officially announced, there was a question gaining voice among the US based community regarding which carriers will be carrying the potential iPad competitor? Well we know now one of the carriers and it is Verizon who has had a quite successful time with Android powered products.

Verizon Wireless as one expects is happy to have their first mobile Tablet as revealed by John Stratton, executive vice president and chief marketing officer for Verizon Wireless:

The Samsung Galaxy Tab is an exciting addition to the Verizon Wireless Android portfolio. Coupled with the nation’s largest 3G network, the Galaxy Tab is a powerhouse that will be as exciting to use as it is practical for both consumers and business customers.

The specs remain the same as discussed before:

  • 7 inch touch screen.
  • 512 MB RAM.
  • 16 GB micro-SD card.
  • 1 Ghz processor.
  • Rear facing 3 MP camera.
  • Front facting 1.3 MP camera.
  • Android 2.2.
  • Adobe Flash 10.1 enabled.
