There is a happy wave among the Apple camp as their high flying iPad is all set to land in China, the largest consumer market. According to the PR posted on Apple’s official site, the WiFi enabled Apple Tablet will go on sale on 17th September, which you guessed it is Friday as expected.
iPad will see daylight at 10:00 AM sharp and can be purchased from Apple retail stores and Apple’s authorized resellers. Here is how the 9.7 inch of HD goodness will be priced:
iPad Wi-Fi models in China will be available for a suggested retail price of CNY3988 for 16GB, CNY4788 for 32GB and CNY5588 for 64GB.
Apple really wants its revenue generating iPad to do well in China. To make sure that the Chinese audience fully understands the multi-touch screen powered gadget, special workshops are being hosted by China based Apple Retail stores to educate the consumers what the magical Tablet is all about.
I just wonder if WiFi enabled iPads will attract the Chinese folks since the gadget can be used to its maximum potential only in those areas which are WiFi active. What’s your take on this?
