NEC is planning on launching their newest Android tablet ‘Smartia’ in Japan next month, which is basically the consumer-oriented version of its LifeTouch ‘cloud communicator’. Specs-wise, the device is equipped with a 7-inch 800 x 480 resistive touchscreen display, a 600MHz ARM Cortex-A8 processor, a 384MB RAM, a 1GB of internal memory, an SD/SDHC card slot, a 3.0-megapixel camera, GPS, an accelerometer sensor, WiFi, Bluetooth and runs on Android 2.1 OS.
